Art Club

Banter is excited to establish an Art Club in Fall 2025!

With connection, conversation, and art at the center of what Banter is all about, creating opportunities for adults interested in art, creating, socializing, learning, and conversing that bring those folks and possibilities together is something Banter is very excited about.

Banter’s art club’s goal is to offer experiences, connections, resources, idea sharing, and much more to local-ish friends (or soon-to-be). In-person events, for outings organized to see current art exhibitions (or events) are organized, as well as regular crafting opportunities to create & make while being social and sharing advice (possibly critiques, if wanted). Curated newsletters with information about exhibitions (to see, and or to be a part of), featured artists, and helpful resources, as well as upcoming events, will periodically be emailed.

As ‘Club Banter’ (what Ru will refer to it as until someone makes a compelling reason not to, or suggests an alternative) is in its early development, all suggestions, feedback, and ideas on what might work for people's wants and needs are highly appreciated,  welcomed, and will be considered. We are in the trial-and-error phase, to be able to help the community in which we strive to serve (or create). Please share your thoughts, hopes, constructive criticism, and ideas on what this special community can be.

This group is designed for all adults (suggested age 21+ because some events may include alcohol, but this will be mentioned in advance), with any interest in art. People who don’t see themselves as ‘creatives’ or ‘artists’ (though founder Sara Ru would challenge that), practicing artists in any medium or to any level of profession or hobbyist, want to be artists (aren’t we all?!), and anyone in between is welcomed and encouraged.
